I am a discrete classics reader.

Even if my favourite authors are findable in the (Italian) literature of the twentieth century (e.g. Italo Calvino, Luigi Pirandello, Dino Buzzati), my beloved masterpiece is Alice in Wonderland, by Lewis Carroll.

From time to time I am drawn into a detective mood (by Arthur Conan Doyle and Agatha Christie) or into a grey horror (by Edgar Allan Poe and H.P. Lovecraft).

I am an admirer of almost any type of art and way of looking for beauty, the greatest universal virtue together with love, to which it is undoubtedly indebted (“ᾧ δὴ πρέπει ἡμᾶς μαρτυρίῳ χρῆσθαι, ὅτι ποιητὴς ὁ Ἔρως ἀγαθὸς ἐν κεφαλαίῳ πᾶσαν ποίησιν τὴν κατὰ μουσικήν ” [1]).

I am quite fond of boardgames, though remaining an expert loser.

Among the titles I've played or appreciated the most, in alphabetical order, the 7th Continent, 7 Wonders, Arkham Horror, Downforce, A Game of Thrones, Hanabi, K2, Pandemic Legacy, Sea of Clouds, Smallworld, Spirit Island and Terra Mystica.

Together with Philippe Moustrou, I used to organise the Gaussian Reciprocity League in the setting of Italian fantasy football. We have implemented for this league the Perpetuum mode; have a look at the official rulebook here.

I possess the title of 2014-2015 Champion for the Nove Secco League and I share with Philippe Moustrou the ones of 2017-2018 and 2022-2023 Champion of the official Bordeaux League, to which I take part since its foundations (2014).
