ABOUT ME

In Southern Bavaria
I was born in Bergamo, Italy, on the 9th of November 1990 and grew up in a beautiful small village between the rivers and the hills of the province of Bergamo, called Villa d'Adda.
After getting my diploma at the Liceo Scientifico Statale Lorenzo Mascheroni in Bergamo, I attended the bachelor course in Mathematics at the Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca. I then joined the ALGANT master program, spending one year at the Università degli Sudi di Padova and one at the Université de Bordeaux, where I got my master degree in 2014.
During my master thesis, I started being attracted by the beautiful interplay between algebraic geometry and convex geometry. This condemned me to a PhD, which I completed in September 2018 shared between the Université de Bordeaux and the Universitat de Barcelona, under the supervision of Prof. Alain Yger and Prof. Martín Sombra, carving my name in the immense genealogy tree of mathematicians.
The stream of life, in the form of a scholarship of the Fundació Ferran Sunyer i Balaguer, gave me a postdoctoral visiting position at the Universitat de Barcelona and the Centre de Recerca Matemàtica in Barcelona between October and December 2018, where I worked with Prof. Martín Sombra.
I then moved back to Bordeaux, where I held a position of "Attaché temporaire d'enseignement et de recherche" till June 2019.
In September 2019 I landed to Bavaria, entering the research group of Prof. Dr. Walter Gubler and Prof. Dr. Klaus Künnemann at the Universität Regensburg, supported by the project SFB 1085 "Higher Invariants – Interactions between Arithmetic Geometry and Global Analysis", financed by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft.
From May 2020 to April 2022, I stayed in Regensburg as a Postdoctoral Fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, hosted by Prof. Dr. Walter Gubler.
After the end of my experience as a Humboldtian, my love for Southern Germany bound me once again to the group of Prof. Dr. Walter Gubler and Prof. Dr. Klaus Künnemann, where I served as a "wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiter" for one more year, before obtaining a tenure-track position at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in October 2023.
