DAGA SEMINAR
What?
The DAGA seminar is the seminar of graduate students in Algebra, Geometry and Number Theory at UB (Barcelona). The Catalan name is seminari de Doctorands en Àlgebra, Geometria i Aritmètica, which explains the acronym. The main aim we pursue is to give the possibility to graduate students to expose their current studies and research to other graduate students. The fact that advisors and specialists are not attending the sessions (a priori) encourages the interaction between the audience and the speaker; the lemma "There is no silly question" is defended in this environment. The talks are entended to be basical and, to the permitted extent, as much understandable as possible for an audience of PhD students with an algebraic background.
